JD Auto and BYD reach after-sales strategic cooperation agreement

On July 21, JD Auto and BYD Auto Sales Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “BYD”) formally signed a strategic cooperation agreement. This cooperation marks BYD's first joint venture with a leading e-commerce platform in the after-sales field. The two parties will focus on the comprehensive upgrade of the BYD brand and its after-sales “Jingcheng Yijia” car maintenance service on the JD platform, and jointly provide all brand owners with a better and more comprehensive one-stop service experience.


The core of this strategic partnership lies in the in-depth collaboration between the two parties regarding the official JD.com flagship store for BYD automotive after-sales services. At the product level, the “BYD Automobile After-Sales Official Flagship Store” provides BYD vehicle owners with a one-stop after-sales service covering original factory maintenance, Jingcheng tires, original factory parts, and automotive accessories. As an important online channel for BYD vehicle owners to access official and convenient after-sales services, the official flagship store ensures consistent service quality at the store, helping to enhance owners' attention and trust in the brand's online services.

 

In terms of service upgrades, BYD's after-sales “Jingcheng Family” has expanded its service scope to include all brand owners and opened an independent store on JD. The “Jingcheng Family Automotive Maintenance Official Flagship Store” offers services such as fuel maintenance, paint repair, and car washing, collaborating with JD to enable more owners to enjoy 4S store-level after-sales service quality, meeting the diverse needs of the market, with all brand owners able to place orders and experience the services through JD.

 

A BYD representative emphasized, “JD Auto's digital capabilities, user insights, and technical service advantages will help BYD more accurately meet owner needs, improve service efficiency, and enhance user experience.” In fact, the collaboration between the two parties has a solid foundation. As early as March 2024, JD Group and BYD established a strategic partnership covering multiple areas including vehicle sales, corporate services, marketing innovation, and user operations.


Based on this, JD Auto leverages its core strengths to further deepen collaboration. Beyond providing traffic support and precision marketing, it also leverages precise insights into consumer needs to help customers precisely match maintenance plans, significantly reducing the time users spend communicating in-store. Notably, JD Auto collaborates with platform-exclusive subsidies, enabling consumers to enjoy substantial discounts while ensuring the authenticity of BYD original parts. Leveraging BYD's extensive service network and standardized service capabilities, combined with JD's online convenient processes, this effectively saves users time and effort, making car maintenance both cost-effective and hassle-free.

A representative from JD Auto stated: “By integrating BYD's original factory technical resources with JD Auto's platform advantages, both parties will jointly promote the online, standardized, and quality-driven upgrading of aftermarket automotive services, making ‘more professional and reliable’ automotive maintenance and usage services easily accessible.”
