Breaking News! NIO Announces Price Reduction
On August 19, NIO announced that it would adjust the prices of its entire range of 100kWh long-range battery packs (including 400V and 900V platforms) and the corresponding starting prices for purchasing the entire vehicle. The price of NIO's 100kWh long-range battery pack has been reduced from 128,000 yuan to 108,000 yuan. Additionally, the prices of all new models equipped with the 100kWh long-range battery pack will be adjusted accordingly, with an overall reduction of 20,000 yuan. The models affected by this adjustment include the ET5, ET5T, ES6, EC6, ET7, EC7, ET7 Signature Edition, ET9, and ET9 Signature Edition. The corresponding models will be reduced by 20,000 yuan. The purchase price for vehicles using the BaaS battery rental scheme remains unchanged, with the battery rental service fee still at 1,128 yuan per month. The specific vehicle prices are as follows:
NIO stated that for customers who have purchased a vehicle equipped with a 100-kWh long-range battery pack but have not yet taken delivery, NIO will arrange delivery at the adjusted price. For users who completed delivery between January 1 and August 18, 2025, NIO will issue a 20,000 yuan refresh voucher, which can be directly deducted from the purchase price when upgrading or purchasing a new NIO vehicle in the future, but cannot be used for repurchasing vehicles from the LeDao or Firefly brands. Additionally, effective immediately, the pricing for upgrading the battery pack from 75 kWh to 100 kWh permanently has been reduced from 58,000 yuan to 38,000 yuan (not eligible for points payment). Users who complete the range upgrade between January 1 and August 18, 2025, will also receive a 20,000 yuan refresh gift voucher.
The new NIO ES6/EC6 was launched on May 16 this year. All models come standard with NAPPA leather seats and front seat heating, ventilation, and massage functions. The interior features a horizontally laid-out 15.6-inch AMOLED central control screen and is equipped with the NT.Cdear S Cedar system. In terms of powertrain, the new NIO ES6/EC6 is equipped with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system, with the front and rear motors delivering maximum power of 150 kW and 210 kW, respectively. When paired with a 100 kWh battery pack, the CLTC range is 650 km and 655 km, respectively.
The new NIO ET5/ET5T was launched on May 25. The new model features adjustments to its exterior and interior design, as well as upgraded vehicle configurations. It incorporates NIO's self-developed Shenji NX9031 chip and is equipped with the NIO World Model (NWM). In terms of power, the new ET5/ET5T is equipped with a front induction asynchronous motor and a rear permanent magnet synchronous motor, with a total motor power of 490 horsepower and a peak torque of 700 Nm, matching the power parameters of the previous model. Battery options include 75kWh and 100kWh battery packs, corresponding to a range of 560 km and 710 km, respectively.
On August 20, NIO will unveil the third-generation ES8 and announce its pre-sale price, with plans to launch in September. It is expected that the price will be adjusted downward upon launch. The third-generation NIO ES8 is built on the NT3.0 platform, featuring significant updates to its exterior and interior design, as well as upgraded vehicle configurations. It is anticipated to be another full-featured “refrigerator + TV + sofa” model. For reference, the current official starting price for the NIO ES8 is 498,000 yuan.
Currently, NIO Group encompasses three brands: NIO, Leido, and Firefly. Among these, NIO's current models include the ES8, ES7, ES6, ET9, ET7, ET5, ET5T, EC6, and EC6, all of which are pure electric vehicles and support battery swapping, representing NIO's premium product lineup. Leido has launched two models, the L60 and L90. The Leido L90 was officially launched on July 31, positioned as a full-size SUV, offering six-seat and seven-seat versions, with Pro, Max, and Ultra editions available. The six-seat version starts at 265,800 yuan for the entire vehicle, with the BasS battery lease priced at 179,800 yuan. The seven-seat version starts at 271,800 yuan for the whole vehicle, with the BasS battery lease priced at 185,800 yuan.
