Capital Injection Exceeds 80 Million! Another Auto Parts Giant Establishes a Robotics Company

Recently, the global automotive parts leader Schaeffler is increasingly stepping up its involvement in humanoid robots. Not only has it set a strategic goal to capture over 10% of the global market share by 2030, but it has also established an embodied AI robotics company in Taicang, Jiangsu.

According to data from Tianyancha, the company, named Schaeffler Embodied AI Robot (Taicang) Co., Ltd., has a registered capital of up to 10 million Euros (approximately 80.33 million RMB). Its main business covers the R&D and manufacturing of core robot components such as rolling bearings, ball screws, precision reducers, and motors.

Dr. Zhang Yilin, CEO of Schaeffler China, revealed that the establishment of this company aims to promote humanoid robots from concept validation to large-scale application, to become a technology partner for the industry, and to co-build a humanoid robot industry ecosystem with industry partners.

Currently, Schaeffler's robot "circle of friends" not only includes several well-known foreign humanoid robot companies such as Agility Robotics, Neura Robotics, and Humanoid, but also the Chinese manufacturer Leju Robot is among them.
